More on our MRI Services
Furthering our commitment to specialized veterinary care, we have now added a Siemens 1.5 Tesla MRI to our new neurology wing. This MRI generates the highest quality images necessary for our doctors and medical team to provide timely and accurate diagnoses.
Although an MRI presents no radiation risk to your pet, is completely non-invasive, and does not cause any distress or pain to your pet, we only recommend an MRI for your pet if it is in their best interest.
Prior to performing an MRI, we will evaluate all other avenues for diagnosis. Over the years we’ve recognized several conditions where an MRI is the best avenue of diagnosis. Below are typical conditions which usually benefit from an MRI.
Typical Conditions for an MRI
- ● Evaluation of the brain, spinal cord and brachial plexus for abnormalities that may correlate with presenting symptoms
- ● Musculoskeletal imaging: Primarily shoulders, stifles, and pelvis
- ● Vascular studies
