Dogfight injuries are usually found on the back, face and legs; and that’s pretty much where Kratos’ injuries are present, explained Dr. Natalia Andrade, DVM, DAVCS-SA, Board-certified Surgeon and Medical Director at Miami Veterinary specialists.

Kratos, likely used as bait to lure other dogs into dogfights, was found wandering South Florida streets severely injured. A good Samaritan called Miami-Dade County Animal Services to report Kratos was severely hurt and wandering around.

All Things Pawisble Animal Rescue took Kratos from animal services to Miami Veterinary Specialists for an assessment of his injuries. 

“He probably sat on those wounds for a while because when we got him those wounds weren’t fresh. They were already infected,” said Dr. Andrade.

With animals in this condition, Dr. Andrade said, they’re usually timid and afraid. But, she says, Kratos is one of the best dogs, temperament-wise, she’s ever seen.

Kratos has one more surgery and about 3 weeks of recovery left at Miami Veterinary Specialists. 

Thanks to the rescue efforts of All Things Pawsible and the medical attention of Dr. Andrade and MVS Medical Team, Kratos is getting the help he needs to recover.
