Dr. Jorge Larin is a distinguished veterinarian with over 32 years of experience, specializing in immunology, vaccine immunity, infectious diseases, and small animal medicine. He has extensive training in nonhuman primate management, medicine, and surgery, and is well-versed in IACUC and USDA Category 2 accreditation standards.

Currently, Dr. Larin is the Senior Associate Professor and Chief Veterinarian at Miami Dade College’s Veterinary Technology Program, where he instructs on various veterinary procedures and serves on the Institutional Animal Use and Care Committee. His career also includes roles as Assistant Director of Nonhuman Primate Veterinary Medicine and Operations at The Mannheimer Foundation and owner of South Miami Animal Clinic.

Dr. Larin holds a DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and a BA in Psychology from the University of Miami. He has contributed to significant research, presented at professional meetings, and held leadership positions in veterinary associations.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Larin maintains veterinary licenses in Florida and Texas. His commitment to education, research, and clinical excellence makes him a respected figure in veterinary medicine.
